The Tax Analyst will stay up to date on all tax laws and changes.
He/She will make recommendations about tax returns regarding tax breaks, expenses, deductions, and other ways to save on tax payments.
And will calculate taxes owed, savings gained through deductions, and expenses that affect final tax estimates.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure tax risk is properly managed by deep and consistent review of our process to avoid tax penalties.
Ensure tax audits are managed within a clear framework and limit total liability to the barest minimum.
Ensure tax payments and filings (for Medlog’s monthly VAT, WHT, CIT/EDDT annual filling) are done timely and accurately.
Book closure at WDS with low level of correction.
Ensure monthly reporting is done accurately and timely – financial reporting, annual profitability reporting, monthly volume report, monthly employee headcount.
Constantly update SOPs to ensure all processes are covered and key risk is covered by key control performed on a regular basis.
Leverage technology and existing operating framework for competitive advantage.
Education and Experience
A minimum of BSc qualification with 2- 4 years of cognate experience
Working knowledge of MS office
ACCA or ICAN or CITN fully or partially qualified.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for data accuracy and trends.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
