Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Coordinate and facilitate external and internal audits.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Provide training and support to the accounting team on accounting principles and company policies.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Analyse financial data and create reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in cost management and efficiency initiatives.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems and software.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure proper documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
Requirements
B.Sc. in Accounting or Related Degrees
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in accounting.
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
An analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages (Sage 50, QuickBooks, ZOHO).
