Key Responsibilities

Communicate with the head moulder or production manager on the type of product to mould daily and attend moulding production needs in LoshesChocolate.
Polish all utensils, moulds, etc, according to SOP and in-house quality control standards.
Properly clean in alignment with our SOP all workstations, tools, equipment, work surfaces etc, used in moulding chocolate within your department.
Adhere to all SOPs for offloading chocolate from the grinders, moulding, tempering, and packaging within the production unit.
Take initiative and be creative in applying yourself to understanding how chocolate works and how to work with chocolate, particularly in the production of assortment chocolates.
Ensure chocolate production meets quality control requirements.
Maintain and adhere to all personal hygiene requirements as stipulated in the SOP to work within the production department.
Manage workflow with tempering machines and ensure you meet daily targets of 200 bars per day, and or as required.
Pay duty of care in the use and operation of all machines, tools and equipment. always follow instructions and SOP.
Adhere to the rules and regulations, SOP and handbook of the factory.
Manage the use of inclusions, coloring, fillings and or additions provided for use in the making of chocolate while at work.
Misuse or theft is considered gross misconduct.
It is your responsibility to ensure all activities in the production department and within your workspace in the factory premises run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
Do not hesitate to escalate a crisis via the proper channels once there is an abnormality.
Ensure all work areas and factory workstations are always clean and tidy.
Perform any other task or activity as shall be advised by the production manager and or head moulder for the effective running of the factory and production unit.
Follow all HSE SOP for the production department.

Person Specification

No experience required
Must possess a BSc in Biomedical sciences and food processing or a minimum HND in Science.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be pleasant and orderly.
Must maintain personal hygiene.
Must be organized and have a positive outlook.
Ability to learn quickly and take productive initiative.
Desire to grow in the company.
Must be creative and work with their hands.
