We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team in Abuja.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
You will play a strategic role in bridging development and operations, driving automation, reliability, and best-in-class DevOps practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize build, release, and deployment processes
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; implement alerting and incident response processes
Manage cloud and on-premise environments
Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues
Lead DevOps initiatives and mentor junior engineers
Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and operational runbooks
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure roles.
Strong experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows
Knowledge of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancers, DNS, firewalls)
Familiarity with security and compliance standards
Experience supporting microservices and distributed systems
Exposure to FinTech, SaaS, or high-availability environments
Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments
