Plan and execute internal audits of financial, operational, and clinical processes.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems.
Review financial records, transactions, and reporting for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct risk assessments and develop audit programs to address identified risks.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, policies, and standards (NHIS, FMOH, Lagos State Health regulations, etc.).
Investigate irregularities, fraud, and non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
Collaborate with department heads and management to implement audit recommendations.
Monitor and track the implementation of corrective measures.
Provide support during external audits and statutory examinations.
Requirements & Skills
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal control frameworks, and risk management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Proficiency in the use of audit software and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment is a strong advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant auditing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Valid practicing license/membership with a recognized professional body.
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
