The accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating accounting functions and programs.
Ensure tax clearance certificate is timely and up-to-date
Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports and account reconciliations…)
Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
Processing and payment of all payables and follow-up on receivables
Assisting with annual audit preparations.
Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
Maintaining the General Ledger and ensuring its accuracy
Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Promote company services
Any other responsibility as advised by management

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant in a professional and corporate environment or similar role.
Proven experience with SAGE accounting software.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
