We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general accounting practices.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently, handling monthly reports, and supporting audits and tax filings in a structured work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
Process and verify vendor invoices
Match invoices with purchase orders and deliveries
Handle timely payments for all business transactions
Maintain accurate records and vendor details
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Review and audit employees’ expenses
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconciliation of statements
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Comply with relevant statutory requirements and standards Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants on audit related matters
Requirements
Candidates should possess a B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4-5 years practical accounting experience in a structured organization
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of taxation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and customer orientation to work with a variety of stakeholders.
Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting
ICAN/ACCA in progress is an added advantage.
