Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Education in relevant subjects from any reputable university/institution. (Possession of PGDE or Master’s Degree will be an added advantage).
Registered member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum of five (5) years relevant post qualification teaching experience in an international school.
Must be able to use ICT to enhance teaching
Knowledge of IGCSE is an added advantage.

As a secondary school teacher, you’ll need to:

Prepare and deliver lessons to classes of different ages and abilities
Mark work, give appropriate feedback, and maintain records of pupils’ progress and development
Research new topic areas, maintain up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations.
Manage pupil behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior
Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
Communicate with parents and carers over pupils’ progress and participate in departmental meetings.
Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants, trainee teachers, and early career teachers (ECTs)
Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as outings, lunchtime clubs, social activities and sporting events.
