We are looking for a trustworthy, organized, and customer-friendly Cashier to manage financial transactions within our canteen services unit.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting smooth daily canteen operations.
The successful candidate must be honest, attentive to detail, and capable of handling transactions accurately in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process customer payments accurately
Operate cash register and POS systems efficiently
Issue receipts and maintain records of daily sales transactions
Balance cash register and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift
Maintain accurate financial and inventory records where necessary
Assist in monitoring stock and reporting shortages
Attend to customers courteously and professionally
Ensure proper handling and safekeeping of cash and other payment instruments
Support the smooth daily operation of the canteen
Perform other assigned duties as directed by management
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
1–2 years cashiering experience, preferably in a canteen, restaurant, or retail environment
Good numerical and record-keeping skills
Ability to operate POS machines and basic accounting tools
Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must reside in Warri, Delta State or its environs, as accommodation will not be provided
