A cleaner’s job is tomaintain the cleanliness and hygiene of an assigned area, which may be a home, office, or other facility.
They perform tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting, while also ensuring that trash is removed and supplies are replenished.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Cleaning Tasks:
Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
Sanitizing and disinfecting high-touch areas.
Emptying trash bins and replacing liners.
Restroom Cleaning and Supplies:
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms.
Replenishing supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
Other Cleaning Tasks:
Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
Polishing furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
Maintaining and stocking cleaning supplies.
Reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
May be required to clean and maintain specific areas like kitchens or operating rooms.
May need to follow specific cleaning schedules and protocols.
May assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess an NCE / OND / SSCE qualification with 3 – 4 years work experience in a related field.
