Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil/Structural/Building Engineer with a strong background in road construction to join our dynamic real estate development team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of road infrastructure and related structural/building projects to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design and supervise the construction of roads, highways, and related infrastructure projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and geotechnical assessments for road construction projects.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and structural works.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
Monitor project progress, quality control, and adherence to approved designs and budgets.
Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, architects, and government agencies to ensure smooth project execution.
Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to construction challenges.
Review and approve construction materials, methods, and testing procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for road construction projects.
Prepare progress reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for completed projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in road construction, including highways, pavements, and drainage systems.
Professional Engineer with license by NSE, COREN, CORBON, or equivalent certification is preferred.
Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, or similar).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
