Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and secure delivery of documents, packages, and other items, primarily within the banking and insurance sectors.
Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a motorcycle to transport documents, packages, and other items to designated locations.
Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions and potential delays.
Ensure the security and integrity of all items being transported.
Obtain necessary signatures and acknowledgements upon delivery.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on the assigned motorcycle and promptly report any mechanical issues.
Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations.
Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and relevant personnel regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
Maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience as a Dispatch Rider.
Proven experience working within the banking and insurance industries is essential.
Must possess a valid and up-to-date motorcycle rider’s license.
Excellent knowledge of Lagos metropolis road networks and traffic patterns.
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
