The University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship offers fully funded undergraduate and postgraduate taught opportunities to prospective students applying for entry in September 2026/27.
The University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship UK covers full tuition fees, £5,000 per year towards study costs, and accommodation for the duration of the study.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship UK, you must:
Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full time study at the University of Glasgow for 2025/26
Have submitted a claim for asylum in the UK OR are actively appealing a negative decision on claim for asylum in the UK OR have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP) or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the Home Office, as a result of an asylum claim.OR
Have come to the UK through schemes such as:
UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS)
Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme
Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)
Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)
Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine)
Ukraine Family Scheme
Benefits
The University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship provides:
Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees
£5,000 per year towards for study costs
University of Glasgow accommodation for the duration of study, if eligible. (For those with no access to public funds only)
