We are looking for an exceptionally experienced and results-oriented Head of Operations to oversee and drive the full operational framework of our real estate business.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate professional with a commanding grasp of the Lagos property market, strong leadership credentials, and the ability to build and optimise high-performing teams and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously refine the company’s operational strategy in alignment business growth objectives.
Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and performance benchmarks across all departments.
Liaise with architects, contractors, project managers, and surveyors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Ensure all development activities comply with LASPPPA, town planning regulations, and relevant Lagos State real estate laws.
Work closely with the sales and business development teams to align operational capacity with revenue targets and client commitments.
Collaborate with the Finance team to develop and manage the operational budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure cost control across all departments.
Review financial performance data and provide management with regular operational cost analysis and variance reports.
Lead, inspire, and manage department heads and senior team members, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and professional excellence.
Set clear KPIs for all operational teams and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Champion learning, development, and succession planning to build long-term organisational capacity.
Ensure the company’s operations comply with all applicable regulations (CAC, LASRERA, FIRS, land use laws, and anti-money laundering requirements).
Oversee title documentation, deed of assignment, survey plans, C of O processing, and all property legal instruments.
Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and legal counsel.
Requirements
B.Sc. / HND in Estate Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate degree is strongly preferred.
Professional membership of NIESV, NIQS, NSE, or LASRERA registration is a strong advantage.
12 – 15 years of progressive experience in real estate, property development, or a related sector, with at least 5 years in a senior operations or general management role.
Not more than 45 years of age at the time of application.
Proven track record of managing large-scale real estate operations, development projects, and multi-departmental teams.
Deep knowledge of the Lagos real estate market; land acquisition, property development cycles, regulations, and sales processes.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
Demonstrated ability to build systems, drive process improvement, and lead high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
