A Pharmacy Sales Assistant supports the daily operations of the pharmacy by assisting customers, processing sales, stocking products, and ensuring a clean and organized store.
The role involves providing excellent customer service while helping customers find over-the-counter medications, health products, and other pharmacy items.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and assist them in finding pharmacy products.
Provide basic information on over-the-counter medications and health products.
Process sales transactions using the POS system.
Maintain accurate records of sales and receipts.
Restock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed.
Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items.
Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Assist the pharmacist with inventory checks and stock management.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
Ensure all pharmacy policies and regulatory guidelines are followed.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE / High School Diploma (OND or related qualification is an advantage).
Previous experience in retail sales or pharmacy assistance is preferred.
Basic knowledge of pharmacy products and medications is an advantage.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.
