Design, develop, test, and maintain PHP-based applications supporting loan origination, disbursement, repayment, and reporting processes
Develop and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and stored procedures to ensure data accuracy, performance, and integrity
Collaborate with operations and business teams to translate lending requirements into technical solutions
Troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime
Enhance existing systems with innovative features that improve efficiency, automation, and user experience
Implement and maintain security best practices, including data protection, access control, and audit trails
Integrate third-party APIs.
Document system designs, processes, and changes clearly for internal use
Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers or support staff when required
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience developing applications using PHP
Strong proficiency in MySQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning
Solid understanding of web application architecture and backend development
Experience building or supporting financial, lending, or transactional systems is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with a problem-solving mindset
Ability to propose innovative technical solutions to business challenges
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
Knowledge of version control systems.
