We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Home System (SHS) Installer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Solar Home Systems across residential and commercial sites. This role requires hands-on electrical knowledge, solar installation experience, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Please note: We are recruiting for multiple locations.Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the specified areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission SHS components (solar panels, batteries, DC appliances, wiring, etc.) per company and manufacturer standards.
�Troubleshoot system faults and escalate where necessary.
�Follow all safety and compliance procedures during installations.
�Provide basic training to end users on SHS system usage and maintenance.
�Document completed work, tools used, and customer feedback.
�Communicate field updates to sales supervisors and team leads.
�Support proper inventory handling and product care.
Requirements:
Minimum of O-Level (WAEC or NECO)and OND/Technical Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
�Electrical installation certification (Trade Test, NABTEB, etc.).
âÂ� 1–3 years of proven experience in solar system installation (especially SHS and off-grid projects).
�Familiarity with DC wiring, PV modules, inverters, charge controllers, and battery systems.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong practical knowledge of solar kit installation and safety procedures.
�Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals.
�Excellent problem-solving skills with a strongattention to detail.
�Good communication and interpersonal skills.
�Willingness and ability to work in rural or off-grid areas with minimal supervision.
�Time management and adaptability in a dynamic field environment.
