A waitress’s job duties includegreeting customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining the dining area.

Responsibilities
Customer service: Greet customers, provide menus, and make recommendations
Taking orders: Memorize or take down orders accurately
Serving food and drinks: Deliver food and drinks on time
Cleaning: Clean tables, sweep and mop floors, vacuum, and take out trash
Cash handling: Prepare bills and collect and process payments
Communication: Communicate with customers and other staff members
Multitasking: Perform multiple tasks simultaneously or back to back
Safety: Follow health regulations and food safety guidelines.
Skills and Qualities
Patience and attentiveness for customers
Good presentation skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Flexibility to work in shifts
Positive attitude
Ability to work well under stress
Active listening and effective communication skills
Team spirit.
Other duties:
Assist in bussing tables and clearing dishes, cater to special requests, and answer customer questions.
