We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage costs, prepare tender documents, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in quantity surveying, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, preparing tender documents, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management: Manage project costs, including preparing budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Tender Documentation: Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including preparing contract documents, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contract conditions.
Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, including preparing risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and standards.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Experience: At least 6 years of experience in quantity surveying.
Professional Membership: Membership in a professional body, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS).
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and prepare reports.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with stakeholders and prepare reports.
Software Skills: Proficient in quantity surveying software, including Autodesk Quantity Takeoff and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree: Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Certifications: Certifications, such as the Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) or the Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS).
Experience in Construction: Experience in the construction industry, including experience with building services and infrastructure projects.
