The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and safeguarding construction materials, tools, and equipment. Ensures accurate record-keeping, timely issuance, and reconciliation of stock to minimize losses and control project costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, record, and issue construction materials and supplies.
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor material usage and flag unusual consumption patterns.
Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.
Work closely with procurement and project teams to forecast material needs.
Prepare periodic inventory reports for management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an Inventory officer. With good site experience
BSC/HND in QS, Purchasing & supply or any relevant course
Knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in material handling.
